A scene from 'Entrapment'. After escaping the Triceraton gladiator arena Zix and Vera are found by the rival gang they met earlier. Vera tries to flirt with the second in command and Zix pretends to be her brother because he's so sickened by it.
And so it happened that Vera Ingrid emerged from the bathroom in nothing but the towel and holding her phasing suit in her arms. She knew Zix still might be a little miffed about the stunt she pulled on him when he thought he had no clothes, but she was surprised that Zix hadnt thought of her enough to get her clothes. When her towel clad form was revealed to both her friend and the second in command there was an abrupt cut in their argumentative dialogue though she was definitely picking up that the gang member was afraid of Zix. Great just great!
The mercenary had his jaw clenched as he noticed what Vera was wearing or not wearing as the towel was not leaving much to the imagination which the second in command was clearly enjoying. Vera beamed a smile at both of them, clearly not embarrassed. Zix was family after all. Oh he was going to pay!
Im afraid I have nothing suitable to wear Vera said mock shyly.
This effect was not lost on the man she was trying to entice nor the one she wished to pay back. The mercenary was literally shaking with rage as if he couldnt even believe she was stooping to this to get back at him.
Perhaps my dear brother could go get some for me She suggested, not taking her eyes off the second in command.
He was literally gaping now like this was some crazy dream.
No. Zix crossed his arms and glared.
And 2IC guy finally has a name! Yay!
And now it's colored! Eee! Don't make fun of my no effort background or my attempt to draw Vera just coming out of the shower...
This is priceless chica!!! I love it! *cackles* So funny!! Love the positions, shading, expressions...hehe. the 2IC looks exactly like what's written. In a dream! And Zix looks so ticked!

Having the courage to spread your wings and fly, doesn't mean you'll never fall. It just means that won't hit the ground when an arrow pierces your wing. Because you were strong enough to take flight in the first place.-me
Poor poor Zixxy! At least Vera took everything back!
Notice the 2IC's focus *isn't* on Vera's face. *shakes head* Zixxy's so close he could probably just snap him in half right there! hehehe.
-- So the struck eagle, stretch'd upon the plain, No more through rolling clouds to soar again, View'd his own feather on the fatal dart, And wing'd the shaft that quiver'd in his heart.
Bwahaha. true! Yes I did notice where the 2IC focus *wasn't* *shakes head as well* He could! Poor Zixxy!! That second in command is so lucky Vera was there!

Well when I pencilled it he was looking at her face. When I inked it he wasn't looking at her face. It was weird how that happened!

Yeah, sometimes that stuff can happen when inking.
